Children's Ministry
Here at St. James the Less, our kids aren't the future, they are the future! We provide engaging and age-appropriate lessons for them during our Christian Formation Hour on Sunday's, as well as other acitivies throughout the year. These classes happen at 9:15 on Sunday mornings.
Taekwondo
Our very own Lisa Cate runs these classes on Monday and Thursday nights at the church for kids and teenagers in the community. If you are interested in taking these classes, please email Lisa Cate.
Youth
Youth Ministry
It is our hope that the teenagers of the parish will be active participants in the life of the church. We try to have a monthly activity for our youth to gather and have fun. We also partner with other local youth groups, and do activities together. Our teenagers have their own Sunday Christian Formation Hour which allows them to discuss topics of faith with their peers. We are always delighted to have our youth participate in the worship service by being acolytes, lectors, and ushers.
Acolytes
In our church, acolytes are an important part of our liturgy. They play an active role in worship as crucifers, torchbearers, and first servers. We hope that children 4th grade and above will consider serving in this way. Adults are also welcomed to become acolytes. Training for this occurs occasionally throughout the year. If you or your child are interested, please reach out to Fr. Wesley.
