Dear St. James the Less, 5/20/20
We are on schedule to return to public worship on Sunday, May 31st which is Pentecost. Bishop Bauerschmidt has put together his policy for the diocese which is called The Wilderness Road. We are excited but cautious about reopening. Our full policy can be found here. A section of the policy is below:
Sunday Service Times
8:00 a.m.-Holy Eucharist Rite II, no music.
9:00 a.m.- Holy Eucharist Rite II, with music. Also streamed on Facebook Live.
10:30 a.m.- Holy Eucharist Rite II. This service will be held outside in the back yard of the church if there is no rain. Bring your lawn chair and spread out. You do not need to sign up for this service. If it does rain, we will have the service in the nave, and we ask that you do sign up online like the earlier services. We will send an email on Saturday if rain forces us indoors, so that you can sign up. There will be no music outside, but there will be if we are inside.
Attendance: Twenty individuals will be allowed into each indoor service. Sign up online beforehand through Signup Genius, call the church office, or email Fr. Wesley to reserve your spot. We ask that all in attendance wear a mask and adhere to six feet of social distance between others. We will have a few masks available at the church for those who don’t have one. Individuals or families will sit in every other pew.
We are also asking for you all to make sandwiches for Church in the Yard on May 31st. Father Bill has been handing out sandwiches by himself, but has not resumed the service yet. He is asking for 75 sandwiches that he’ll be able to hand out. Please email me if you are able to make sandwiches (firstname.lastname@example.org) and bring them on May 31st.
We hope to see you at our online formation opportunities this week, and we’ll see you this Sunday on Facebook Live and Zoom!

Making Masks: The Masks Now Coalition is a grassroots movement of volunteers who’ve banded together in response to the national shortage of PPE. Those interested can text "masks" to 50409 or reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org. Anyone interested in volunteering can do so here. If you want to make masks let us know. Parishioners who can’t sew could provide cotton material for the masks. Pat Magnant is willing to be a collection site if you cannot send them yourself. Contact Pat at email@example.com or 727-365-2300.
