COVID-19 Guidelines

Dear All,

There will be a risk any time we venture out of our home until there is a vaccine. This risk includes coming to church. On our end, we are putting measures in place to minimize the risk of exposure when you come to church, but none of these measures are perfect. We want everyone to be safe and smart, while also being able to come worship together. We will have the church thoroughly cleaned before people arrive each Sunday and will sanitize high touch areas in between services. We will be following the CDC, state, metro, and diocesan guidelines. Each individual and family will need to assess what risks they are willing to take at this time, and please know we completely support you in that decision. Your safety is important to us.

In accordance with diocesan recommendations, we encourage people over the age of 65 and/or individuals with underlying health conditions to remain at home and attend our service through Facebook Live. This also includes children who are too young to wear a mask. Those at a higher risk should consult their personal physician for guidance before attending public worship.

COVID-19 Guidelines
As of 11/10/20

  • Sunday Service Times:

    • 8:00 a.m.-Holy Eucharist Rite II, no music. No RSVP needed.

    • 10:30 a.m.- Holy Eucharist Rite II, with music. Also streamed on Facebook Live. Follow along with the bulletin here. No RSVP needed.

  • Attendance: Masks are required at all times while indoors. No RSVP is needed at this time, but we can only comfortably and safely seat 35 people in our nave. If you are concerned about spacing please consider coming to our 8 a.m. service where there is typically more room.

  • Childcare: There will be no childcare, and we ask that family units sit in the pew together. The nursery and playground will not be open at this time.

  • Communion: At this time, we will only offer the Bread, and ask that you lower your mask when you receive it and then immediately place it back over your mouth. Instead of kneeling at the altar rail, those receiving the Bread will come in front of the rail and receive standing one by one, six feet apart. We also understand if individuals do not want to receive the sacrament at this time.

  • Music: Studies have shown just how dangerous singing can be in the spread of the coronavirus. At this time, we will have one or two choir members serve as cantors, and they will do the singing for us. Music is a vital part of worship, but we do not want to increase the chances of the virus spreading by singing.

  • Use of Prayer Books: We will have bulletins printed for you that will include the entire service. We ask that you do not use the prayer books in the pews. We do not want multiple people touching the same book on a Sunday.

  • Sunday Christian Formation Hour: We are having in-person adult Christian formation classes at this time. Though we are not officially having any children's classes, we do have a volunteer who will care for them while the adult class is going on. Class can also be streamed on Facebook Live.
